Sometimes courage chooses you...
Martin Giles is an ordinary man in an ordinary job: a statistician in a large consulting firm. The only risks he ever sees are on a balance sheet.
His latest task is typical: to crunch the polling data of a Central Asian election, and tell his clients who will win. But when the answer that he gives them isn't what they want to hear, he uncovers a plot to pervert the vote, and put their candidate in power.
Martin has to make a choice: accept that he can't stop it, or risk his life in trying.
Faced with a ruthless enemy and with just three days to the election, Martin decides to take a stand. From a brutal shoot-out in a power station to a final, terrifying chase through a blacked-out city, this is the first in a new action trilogy: the story of a normal man who has to learn to be a hero.
And it asks a simple question: which of us, faced with such a tough dilemma, would make the same decision? Which of us could become The Arbitrator?
